Withdrawing an application

I applied early action to Harvard. I thought about it more and decided that I would rather apply regular decision so I can take the SAT again and improve my score. I also would like to edit some information on my application, so refiling my application with the regular decision applications won’t work. If I withdraw my early application, can I reapply for regular decision?

Unfortunately, you cannot change or alter your Common Application once submitted to a college. (You can change and alter the application only for colleges that you haven’t submitted to yet.) However, you can call Harvard Admissions and request that your application be put in the RD pile and inform them that you want to take take the SAT again.

I called Harvard yesterday and asked them this question. They said that if I withdrew early, I could “of course” resubmit regular.

Not sure who you spoke to at Harvard, but I would investigate the issue on the Common Application
