<p>I don't know the answer to whether you can do this or not, but this is one of those life-changing things that you don't want to be wrong about! If you assume you can do it and tell UCLA to cancel your SIR but it turns out Cal locks you out, you won't be attending either UC campus in the fall. What I'm saying is don't rely on anonymous posts for an answer, call Cal admissions yourself and get the answer.</p>
