It just happened... UCSB as rescinded my admissions for the fall quarter. Anybody who has been in the same boat or is in the same boat as me, how does the appealing process work? It sucks to be informed this late in the summer when courses start in less than 2 months. Also, how would this affect my financial aid?

What was the reason for rescinding? Thats the most important factor to consider so far.

I received a “D+” grade in one of my courses and their reasoning was for “low grades” in my senior year. Pretty much I had 2As, 3Bs, 1C for my last semester, but managed to receive about a 3.5 GPA. I believe this is an error on my teacher’s part but he hasn’t replied to my e-mails so tomorrow I will pay a visit to my high school to discuss this with my counselor. What would be the chances of appealing of getting reinstated on academic probation?

was it a required A-G class? If so, I think you need a C or better or UC schools rescind since you’re then not UC eligible. I have my fingers crossed you can get this straightened out at your HS!

Unfortunately for me it was… I’m going back to my HS to get it sorted out with my counselor because it look to be a grade error. Otherwise, I managed As and Bs with the exception of 1 C in all my classes with a 3.6 GPA in the end. Bummer.
