Wolfeboro summer boarding school

Does anyone have experience with this program? It's a highly structured 6-week summer program, where kid can take 3 courses for credit. There seems to be a great deal of support for developing study skills.

My experience is second hand. A friend of my son's went last year. He hated it for the first week or two and then loved it (typical I imagine). His mom was very pleased. Beyond that, I have no details. Sorry.

Someone in my grade went and she said she hated it and that they are extremely strict, although she tends to complain about everything.

Thank you for the information. I did gather that it was strict, but this may be necessary given what they try to accomplish in 6 weeks.

I have sent a number of kids and it has been beneficial to everyone--the teachers are excellent. kids can earn high school credit for courses.

Wolfeboro, NH? Is this through Brewster Academy?

I was wondering the same thing.

no it is an independent summer boarding school. It is absolutely beautiful and has been in existence for many years.

Thanks - I will look into it.

Where is it and what is it called?

nevermind, I looked it up on yahoo.

sometimes it is referred to as wolfeboro camp school. It is extremely structured, but one can earn an entire year of high school credit for coursework.

I’m interested in hearing parents and students opinions of the program. What they liked/disliked? I’m having difficulty finding any reviews of the school other than advertisements.
How supervised are the kids at night and are there counsellors in the tents?
