Wondering about the Honors Program?

All my college admissions are in and it's time for me to finally pick a school to go to. Unless I go to U of C, I'll probably go to UD due to cost. Yet I don't know much about the school, particularly the honors program. I was hoping the great people here on CC could help me clear up some doubts.

For one, I'm wondering what is the general persona of Honors students? I understand this is incredibly subjective and broad, but stereotypes do hold a hint of truth at times.

I'm also wondering how competitive students in the Honors Program are? I especially enjoy peers who are incredibly competitive and I really enjoy actually competing with others.

Finally, I'm wondering what peer dynamic is like? How do students treat each other and how "close" are students to each other?

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and any answers are much appreciated!

My d is an honors student and she is very pretty, polished and serious about her academics and very ambitious for her future. Most of her friends, honors and not, are the same way. The honors program has a lot of perks and opportunities. You can go to the honors website and see the course options the the lifestyle activities that are available. Also, if your schedule includes a visit this spring you should definitely visit the honors house and meet people.
