Hi-
My parents just told me that I could go to boarding school this next year if I chose to. Which is cool but it's already May and I'm going into my senior year! Not exactly a good time for them to give me permission. But anyway I was wondering if any of you out there knew of any boarding/prep schools that accept students in their senior year and are still accepting applications?
Thanks,
Morgan

i wouldnt do it....unless you really have to....its gr 12...u need to focus on your academics....not trying to fit into a new environment

You could try for a PG year/repeat a year, though I wouldn't recommend it. A lot of boarding schools accept new seniors, but a lot less accept new-postgraduates. I only applied for 10th grade though, so I wouldnt know about chances/where to go.

it would help if you told us why you would want to go to a boarding school for your senior year.

Neuchatel Junior College is a school in Switzerland that's mostly for students in their 12th or PG year.

You have to call individual schools and ask them. Schools don't advertise having space in the 12th grade, normally.

Not a good idea! Sorry! You'd lose out on teacher recommendations for college. Socially all of the other students would be getting ready to move onto the next phase. Hard to break into that.
Unless you have an extremely compelling reason, I would not think it advisable.

You could ask for teacher recs from your old school. But yes, I agree with Shelley14 completely- the social thing could be an issue...

You could apply for a postgraduate year, but it would put a lot of strain on you, since you're a serious. It's a lot harder to get into PG. I guess it ind of depends on which schools you are applying to. On that note, do you have any choices already?

"since you're a serious" oops sorry i meant since you're a senior.
