Hi,

I am looking at attending Woodberry Forest School next year as a 10th grader. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about this school other than the general information off their website. I am looking for an academic challenge and am wondering weather this school will provide it.

Thank

Yes it will. It is a very good scho academically, just be aware that it is rather conservative and there is a very
strong old boy contingent that can “rule the school.” It might have changed, but I would definitely do a campus visit and try to talk to different students.

My nephew is a senior at Wodberry Forest. He loves it, but then he is a very good match for the school: very bright, very outgoing, old line Southern family, a legacy (his dad is a WFS graduate) and a D1 football recruit.

My little brother is a Senior and he loves the school. He has been there all four years and it’s been an awesome experience. I was very nervous about him attending due to the low population of black students. There have been a couple of issues but nothing that he couldn’t learn from and nothing that he won’t experience in the real world. The curriculum is challenging and the faculty is incredible.
