I think I prefer using random words for guessing in wordle instead of the old standbys that use all the vowels in 2 words. Knowing all the vowels In the mystery word isn’t as helpful as I had thought.
In my random words I try to use as few vowels as possible.

Well that was interesting.
Struggled a bit.
I have been using different first words each day and it’s more fun to do that.
Bottom line: I’m addicted. And I love that it’s only one word a day. I find it take it more seriously versus if I play random words, too.

I asked the grown son if he had heard of Wordl, and he said he loves it. Per the limit of one per day, he said that was his favorite aspect. One and done, no temptation to linger.
I thought today’s word was hard,spend a long time on it.

I like using different starting words each day too - keeps it more fun for me and less rote. My mind has always loved figuring out challenges. It’s quite ok if it’s not the “best” way to get there. I’m that way with other solitary games too - I invent my own “rules” to make it more challenging if things get boring.

So true! The solitaire card game also has luck of card arrangement… still lots of fun to play.

I switch up starting words as well. Also will sometimes use someone else’s suggestion of the previous day’s winning word as the starting word today. I find those types of personal rules make it more fun too.

I played Absurdle today for the first time. I really liked it! I played three times and each time I got it on the sixth word. Very different rules than Wordle.

Though I got it in three tries, not a fan of today’s word. I can’t say why without giving a hint.

Doing the daily always kicks me out of hard mode, then I have to click it again to do my randoms…
I feel like Wordle is a creature that laughs at me when it knows I’m purely guessing (incorrectly) at one point:
