Words of Wisdom... APs Junior Year

Hey CC :)!! Someone else had posted a thread similar to this one and it seemed to work out well so I thought that I'd give it a shot. Any advice, words of wisdom, warnings etc. on AP Lit, AP Euro, AP Calc AB, AP Environ Sci, or AP Bio would be appreciated (esp. Lit because I just found out last week that I have to take that instead of Lang because of scheduling issues so I'm kind of nervous!)

Thanks so much!

The only difference between AP Lang and AP Lit is a lot more reading but you can skim the surface and still survive.

^ How many classics should I read and know really well? I’ve heard 2-3. Are there any books I must read or is it up to my discretion? On the final essay where they give you a list of books to choose from do I HAVE to choose one of those books?

^No, but they must be books of literary merit. If you’re not sure if a book’s of “merit”, then I would avoid using it. It is always safe to use one of the books listed since Collegeboard considers them of merit, but other books may be fine as well.

Edit: Here’s the quote from Collegeboard:

You may choose a work from the list below or one of comparable literary merit.
