<p>What are some words/phrases that make you cringe and feel bad for the person who just uttered them?</p>

<p>1) Owned </p>
<p>2) Surfing the crimson wave</p>
<p>I've said owned before, but I dont exactly use it often.</p>
<p>1) I go to/got into a better school than you
2) I got ___ on the SATs
3) LOL
4) Pretty much any internet phrase--esp. OMG</p>
<p>Oh Lordy...my old roommate would shorten words and talk in IM lingo all the effin time! It irritated me so much!</p>
<p>She also made up stupid new things to call the buildings around campus...I hated that the most.</p>

<p>Guesstimate should be obliterated from the English language. People use it ins seriousness too, which irks me.</p>
<p>I hate "guesstimate" more than anything in this world. My high school algebra teacher would say it all the time.</p>
