Words that people overuse on this site that annoy me

Dude -- whenever someone says it, it's always really obnoxious and condescending.

Ignorant -- I bet that the word 'Ignorant' appears on this website at least a million times.

Urgent -- sorry, but this almost never applies, some people even use this on their chance threads.

Are there any other ones that I'm missing? Please feel free to vent.

how the hell could you forget ‘passion’

This is more of a phrase, but “How do I make friends?” shows up way too often.

Another one is “intelligence.” I don’t think anyone really knows what intelligence is.

chance me, chance me and i’ll chance you back! we can all chance each other!

hella – why does all norcal ppl say this? WHY?

because it’s a hella bomb word

hella

Words not nearly used enough:

Dope boy fresh

“elite”

10c

Dude, don’t be so hella ignorant.

prestigious, unique, “re-take 2400 to better my raw score”…

No, but really, I must add, CC is an amazing forum though, I basically encompasses all info about admissions you could ever wish for, and people are generally nice and polite, and have civilized discussions, nothing like the rest of the internet (All youtube-commenters have Tourettes and some other mental disorders I will leave unnamed, I am sure)

how about crapshoot

DD, DS, D, S…is it really so hard to type out the extra few letters? It’s one more key press in the case of “son” (since you don’t need to press shift), abbreviating it is just as bad as using “u” instead of “you” all the time

the name of ANY ivy/big ten.

“I got a 2390 on my SAT, thats soooo bad, should I retake?”

using u is okay because it’s easily understandable… everytime I see “DS” I think “what about nintendo?”

it’s really confusing.

I never actually figured out what DD and DS stood for, not exactly sure why anybody uses them either

Any others?

D is daughter, S is son…

DD and DS remain a mystery.
Let’s ask the parents.

I thought it meant “Dearest daughter” or “Darling Daughter”… something like that.

I have to agree with robbiez here, the parents on that forum seem to really hate/doubt their kids.

“passion” as someone said. “it’s a passion of mine” get real.

i hate it when people say cliche. generic. unique (actually unique depends on context, like the one below)
i hate it when people say they want to be original or unique

can’t think of any more, but i’ve got lots of em.

This doesnt apply to this site but just to life in general,
i hate it when people say ‘wordddd’ or ‘whats goooood?’
It makes no sense and imo you look like a complete d-bag
