I am 24 and 've been working at a start up software company for the past 3 years in human resource department. I have my health coaching certificate from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and along with my manager , I helped put together a corporate wellness program, for the employees at the company called Peak Performance Program. I finished high school in 2011 but did not go off to college because my sister passed away in a car accident that year and I dealt with a lot of personal issues dealing with depression/anxiety and grieving with my family. I have been taking college course, as a non-majoring student at the university at buffalo , while working full time. So far, I have taken Human Nutrition, Psychology and Human Anatomy (1 at a time) and have received an A in each class. I have loved learning and being back in school and I am now needing to apply as a majoring student so I can be a full time student and have these classes count towards an actual degree.
** The school has asked me to write a gap statement explaining what I have been doing since high school. what types of examples would working in Human Resources give me , that would make me stand out as a nursing school applicant?
