Work or EC's?

I currently work 40 hours/week in a position that's considered a step or two above a custodian. The reason I took the job is because the hours, 6pm-2am, allow me to attend school during the day. There aren't many other positions available that allow me to do this. I also work extra jobs on the side that add an additional 3-6 hours/week. My only EC is Taekwondo (10 hours/week).

Here's the question. What's looked upon more favorably, work or EC's? Should I forgo work and concentrate on EC's? Will the lack of a leadership position within my job hinder my chances of transfering?

I obviously need some sort of income (no rich family here) but if EC's are better than I'll find a way to survive.

Here's some info if it helps.

NVCC to Mcintire
guaranteed admission won't apply to comm school
GED in 2001, tried a few classes at NVCC before withdrawing
came back in 2006
Asian male from NoVA

-2.0 GPA from an '01 econ class I forgot to drop
-4.0 1st semester
-4.0 2nd semester
-currently 3.87, should be 3.91-3.93 ish when I'm done

EC
-Taekwondo 2nd Dan

So, should I continue working or should I move onto something else?

If you can explain your situation and explain your commitment to work (which I find impressive) continue working. There is little point in padding out your resume with ECs you will not turly be involved win at the expense of an income and opportnity to write about your long-term commitment which happens to be work.

As a caveat, I say this part from what I hope an adcom's perspective would be, not what it might actually be.
