If we qualified for work-study in our ePAL and it's confirmed on our eFAN (anybody know when those are coming out for transfers?), when do we start looking for on-campus jobs and how do we go about it? Is it hard to find an on-campus job?

You may start searching for work study jobs on the board at FAO starting in August. New jobs will be posted on a rolling basis, though you would have to wait until school starts for most to be up.

The optimal time to check is a week or two before instruction starts. It is not difficult to find an on-campus job through work study, but it's not automatic. You have to contact the supervisor of the respective job for an interview first. I would recommend doing this early if you choose to use email. Personally, I would call them to make sure the position is still available, since some supervisors don't respond back through email, or take very long to get back to you.

Usually if you qualify for an interview, then you'll get the position, since you meet the requisites for the job.

Thanks, BoelterHall
