<p>Summer - depends on the school. My daughter’s school does not offer WS jobs during the summer so any WS not used by the end of spring is lost. others have posted here that their schools do offer WS jobs during the summer. Ask your school.</p>
<p>As far as whether it would prevent you from getting WS next year - again, it depends on the school. There have been posters who have said that not using the WS offered as freshmen at their schools made them ineligible in subsequent years. That was not the case at my daughters school. So it would depend on your school. However WS is very limited funding so it is not something you can be guaranteed (my daughter did not get it this year even with 0 EFC because they simply ran out of funds before they got to her, even though we filed FAFSA very early).</p>
