I'm going to college next year and I'm worried about whether or not I'll have the time to work. I have a job now and I also babysit a lot and over the summer I worked 2 jobs, so I'm used to having plenty of spending money that I make for myself. In college is it easy to find a job at a big state school or vice versa is it easy to not spend too much money?

if you have a low efc, you should be able to get workstudy if you selected that option and completed your fafsa

yeah, the thing is i don’t qualify for anything like that. i’m comfortable enough, it’s just that one of the things that keeps me going is the fact that i do things like make money for myself. are jobs really available to students, especially freshmen, who are looking for jobs just for money for themselves?

You’d be better off asking in your school’s specific forum. External job pickings are going to vary depending upon your location (small town vs. big city, etc.).

You don’t necessarily have to qualify for work study to get an on-campus job. Start inquiring early to have the most options if that’s something you want to pursue.

well then you should be able to find a part time job somewhere on / more than likely off campus
