I was rooting for France partially due to family and heritage In France but also minority, but not a Messi fan. But have to say any soccer fan has to have gotten all they could ever want in a game in that game. And in the end I hate that it came down to PK’s but happy for the game of a lifetime for both teams
And Mbappe having a hat trick at age 23 sets and his other play and leadership sets him up to be a notable player in the future

One of the best games I’ve ever seen. It had moments of “The Beautiful Game” (the passing sequence on the 2nd Argentina goal) and moments of the pure agony that only soccer produce (in our house-- it was the 2nd French goal).
EPL is back next week, FA Cup is back after the New Year, MLS presumably starts in February and NWSL is back at the end of March. The Women’s Word Cup is only 214 days away.

Thanks for asking. We called the animal hospitals emergency number and they assured us that a 45-50 lbs dog would be fine given what she had ingested.
Thankfully she seems very satisfied with the trade off of my scolding her in exchange for a new and tasty meal. I suspect she hasn’t learned her lesson but I have forgiven her.

Fantastic play on both sides. Very glad that Argentina won and that Messi and team finally brought the cup home for their country. Mbappe was amazing but already won one last time. And the keeper for Argentina made such a fantastic save to keep the game going.
Looking forward to hopefully catching a game in 2026 when the WC is in the states!
