FIFA rankings for World Cup teams:
Will the US get out of group play and get to the elimination stage (Quarters)? Semis? Finals? World Cup Champion? 
I predict 2nd in group and then a loss in the round of 16.
Looking forward to watching as many changes as possible!
My wife is from Italy. She would like the US to do well but the most important thing is for France to lose.
With those game times I’m predicting lots of long lunches that result in people not going back to work.
DH and I wound up with the US and Japan as our picks since we were late, so that pretty much sealed the USs fate 
Our son is serving in Qatar through February. His unit works Mon-Sat 1-9 PM local time in a secure facility with Army intranet only. They’ll be able to catch only the late games on TV, but he says the excitement there is crazy, and it’s killing them to be so close knowing they will miss most of the live action.
It’s a shame I Azzurri flamed out at the end of qualifying. The injuries to their two best players during the Euros (Chiesa and Spinazzola) did not help.
With Italia out, I’m obviously pulling for the US. But I suspect it will be Argentina, Brazil or Spain hoisting the Cup.
None of the games will be easy…but I believe.
Too many MLS based players…like Greg is trying to prove a point.
We have not had a proper forward since McBride.
Soccer is like a disease I cannot get rid of for me.

I’m in the Eastern Time zone. I’ve got the US group stage games blocked off on my calendar. If the US advances, it will become more problematic
Yup, those injuries were big but they still should have qualified.
So weird that it is a November cup but Qatar in July would have been brutal!
Day after Thanksgiving, 2PM start here on the east coast, US vs England—I’m in!!!
Gorginho had a PK opportunity to beat the Swiss and win the group with a game to spare, but he missed it. Then they drew at N Ireland despite outshooting them like 30-4, and then lost to a wonder goal against MKD in the playoffs… despite also dominating them. It was disappointing to say the least.
That’s essentially my mantra as a sports fan of San Francisco teams. Anyone, but Los Angeles.
Other than the US, I really have no allegiances to any other country’s team. I’m just looking forward to some great matches.
I did peak at the Wales roster for any Wrexham players on the Wales team, but alas, Wrexham is a National League team. So, obviously no national level talent.
S26’s high school soccer coach has already adjusted practice time to let the boys watch the first US game. Though my dual national son favors his other country’s team I think (which should have higher odds of winning anyway 
)
I also grew up in SF Bay Area. The Dodgers are my #1 most hated team in all of sports!!!
I love the USMNT Santa commercials though!
I already have a work watch party planned at a pub for the first USMNT game on the 21st.
