World History only in December :((

Hi, I am going to apply to undergraduate class of 2013.
I intend to take 3 SAT Subject tests: Math, Chemistry and World History.
My problem is that the World History test is only administered in December, so I can't use my test score for Early Admission.

If I take World History, I can't apply Early.

As an alternative, I can scrap the History test and take only Math and Chemistry, so that I can use my score for Early Admission, but I really want to take the History. I particularly like History and am confident about the test. :D :D

Another worse solution, I can take Math and Chemistry in October or November and World History in December, but it cost too much.

What SAT test and when do you think I should take?

World History is offered twice a year, in June and in December. See SAT Subject Test Calendar
If you do decide to take the test in June, study hard as you won't be able to retake it prior to December. My son took the June test last year. He first tried the Kaplan book, but was not impressed with it, so switched to Barron's. He said that was by far a better review book. He also got some of the questions right from having read historical novels for enjoyment and having played computer games like Rome Total War.

So far as taking two or three tests, check the websites of the schools to which you are interested in applying. Off the top of my head, I know Princeton and Harvard require three subject tests. Most schools require only two.

Take World History in June like I am. I'll be taking World, Physics, and Math2 in June.

Johns Hopkins also wants three subject tests.

If you are taking Math and Chem now, take those this spring while the material is fresh in your mind. World is offered in Dec. and June, as 2blue said. My son took it right after the AP.

The more you can get done as a junior, the better. Senior year is too busy to worry about re-studying material and trying to ace these tests.
