I really, really just hope that I'm panicking but here's what's happening. So, my GPA at the beginning of senior year was a 3.21 and my SAT score was 2050. I was accepted to Mason, the only school I applied to, and now I'm worried because I know that I'm going to end up with a few miserable grades. These are the final grades in my classes (and the grades that will show up on the transcript):

AP Government –– B, probably
AP European history –– B, most likely
Studio Art 2 –– A, I'm so so glad I took this after all...
Oceanography –– B, maaaaybe a B+ but I doubt it
AP Literature –– D. I screwed up so badly on the final and it looks bad because I had an A- at the beginning of the year
Prob. Stat –– C-, hopefully not a D, but this depends on my final next week
Political science –– A

I'm mostly worried about the D in lit and the possible D in probstat....it's not like I had straight A's or something but do you think that they'll rescind my admissions?

Don’t torture yourself, waiting for possible bad news. Confront it head on. Bite the bullet and call GMU admissions, contrite, ready to do whatever. Don’t wait. Elapsing time does you no good. Good luck.

You need to call them. One D is enough to get rescinded, let alone 2. However, colleges work with you if you get on top of it up front. Good luck! Hopefully theyll just put you on probation in the fall.

The best course of action would be to contact GMU. I doubt that they would rescind your admission, though. Perhaps academic probation or something?

It doesn’t matter what we think, what matters is what the admissions office thinks. The mature thing here is to face up to your problems and contact them as soon as you know your final grades. It’s also the smart thing to do because if there is a problem perhaps you’ll be able to make up one of the grades in summer school. If you wait until they see your transcripts later in the summer it will be too late for that.

Also, it may be too late, but maybe talk to your teachers and see if there is anything you can do (extra credit paper, project etc) to bolster your grade to the C range.
