Worried after ED rejection! Please chance for RD!

I recently got rejected from the Wharton School in ED. Since then I've begun to doubt my ability to get into a top tier university as I've wanted for such a long time.

As a disclaimer, I am an Asian Indian from a mid-sized public school that sends 2-3 to the Ivy League each year.

ECs are good but a bit late in HS career. SAT scores are low for top schools(besides ML2)

Harvard and Duke are going to be brutal in RD, as they’ve already accepted half their class through EA/ED. RD rate for Harvard is going to be <4%.

Yeah I’ve noticed on both. I’m really aiming for acceptance at one of the those top 4 universities I’ve listed. Here’s to hoping.

Bump 10char

You don’t necessarily have to go to a top-tier university. We all have dreams, but practicality beats them. I hate to break it to you, but many colleges like Harvard and Duke have made it much more difficult for RD with their early admittance. Nevertheless, I think you will get into UCLA for sure, and it’s good that you have your safeties. Schools like UChicago and the rest of the Ivies have reputation, but they may not necessarily be the best. Your education is what you make out of it. Name is not everything.
