Worried because possible late 2014 form PFS (Exeter)

Long-time lurker on CC but decided to make an account to ask this question.

I only submitted the 2014 forms on our PFS a couple of days ago (other forms submitted already way before the deadline). This was delayed because of some circumstances with the tax service. I am worried because I just saw on the PFS when double checking, in small letters on the side (Document Due Dates), I see New Students --> 2014 Docs --> 2/15/2015 for Phillips Exeter Academy. I did not see this at all before and the Exeter financial page on their website said nothing about this, it only said to “submit 2014 docs ASAP after January 31, 2015.” Does the 2/15/2015 deadline hold true? The other schools allow for 2014 docs to be sent even in May so I am not sure why Exeter’s is so early.

Will the late submission affect my son’s chances at all? I just noticed the February deadline and am very concerned.

Thank you for your help.

Was the information on the PFS close to your actual return? If your PFS/W2/othere documents were timely and consistent with your return the late return probably won’t be a problem. The FA offices know that it is difficult to get the returns in by 2/15 given that some 1099s don’t even arrive before then. If the actual PFS/documents were late or if the information on it is significantly different than your return there could be an issue. The offices are obviously jammed as the notifications are now less than a week away. I’d call the FA office - they usually email if they are missing required documents.
