Hi there. In my CSU application, I had put all my grades in it, and had done A-G matching. After doing all the correct matching, the application told me that I had a total of 34 years and 14 years of English. I was confused and had my counselor look over it. I don’t know if she looked at the right parts, but she told me that everything was fine. So I went ahead and submitted it. Looking back, I realize that this might’ve been a mistake. Is it a mistake? Or is this normal because I’m on a block schedule? I wanted to know if this will affect my admissions for the following schools: CSUN, CSUCI, SFSU, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
P.S: I talked to CSUN already and they told me that they would look at my sent transcript and fix it. But what about the other schools?
I know someone who had the same problem as you describe. After reviewing the application, we discovered that she made a mistake entering her high school classes. For many of her classes - I can’t remember if it was just AP/Honors or all of her college prep classes - she chose the wrong TYPE of class from the drop-down menu after she selected the course title. She selected “college” as the type of class. It incorrectly added many years to her total years of high school.
Once the selections were corrected, everything went back to normal before she submitted the application.
I would contact the admissions departments at each school and explain what you think happened.
I would contact all the CSU’s where you applied and have them look over your application to confirm everything was reported correctly. The new Cal Sate apply app has many problems this year.
