Once you are 24, you can establish residency in another state…but usually this cannot happen WHILE you are there attending college. That has to happen BEFORE you attend college…like a year before. You would need to take time off…work on your new state, and establish residency.
I think you are trying to do something that just might not be possible…right now.
@thumper1 true but I just feel like I might need to gain some experience or do something else since I haven’t done well enough in college and don’t feel like I’m in a position to succeed right now.
Where my grandma lives is a great place because Cincinnati and northern ky are great places but I’m just not happy where I live currently.
Also, I’ve checked with both schools in ky & ohio and they will accept my credits.

It’s fine to take time off from college. Get a job…it might give you a different perspective. You might decide to pursue a trade instead of a four year degree. That’s fine too.
I mean really…we need plumbers and electricians, and HVAC experts. And the like.
You might find that you can work full time, and maybe take one CC class…try some different things. Something might pique your interest. And one CC course won’t be too costly (you won’t be able to get aid because you won’t 1/2 time or more).
Maybe take some time to shadow some folks on jobs you think might be interesting.
Then…if the time comes…apply to colleges if that happens.
And there’s nothing that says I can’t do both a trade and a college degree.
Another thing I haven’t mentioned is that before I even move I need to get a car first and I would have to register my license in that state.
Your successful completion rate seems low. If taking a full-time load and working is making it challenging to pass all your courses maybe you need to take a course or two at a time. If you lose your aid it will be difficult to get it back.
