Worse to send bad subject test scores or not send any at all?

So I only just realized that Northwestern recommends two subject tests even if you’re submitting ACT scores; I had previously assumed that like other tests it recommended “SAT + subject OR ACT”. That being said, I took subject tests in Nov and Dec but my scores are pretty average. I have a 640 on Bio, 680 on Lit, and 660 on Math 2. My ACT is a 33 and I’m applying as a Bio major.
Would it be worse to not send any scores at all or send weaker scores just for the sake of sending scores?

They say"recommend", not “require”. In your case, sending them would be very detrimental, so I wouldn’t.

@MYOS1634 what about a 770 on math 2 and 720 on bio M

@a1h313: you’re fine. Any non-stem sat subject to show balance?

no however, I’m a girl interested in the sciences so I feel like it’s okay ish

Just go with the ACT. As MYOS posted up-thread, subject tests are not required.

Here to also see your opinion. My ACT was not that great (29). However, my SAT Math II is 760 (not particularly sure what score is good for Math II, I heard a lot of people get 800s) and I’m writing the physics subject test in two weeks. Would sending my subject scores be helpful in this case?

According to the [College Board](https://secure-media.collegeboard.org/digitalServices/pdf/sat/sat-percentile-ranks-subject-tests-2014.pdf), 760 in Math Level II is 65th percentile. Note that this population of test takers is heavily skewed toward students for whom math is a relative strength!
