Worth a shot?

Hey guys,
I have some questions to ask about my chances at some prestigious schools.

I am now attending washu as a freshman.
My first semester ended with 3.75. My classes were quite rigorous, including Calculus III, which deals with multivariables, and physics class with calculus. In those classes, I mostly got A.

My high school records are very competitive with my SAT I 2320 and three 800s in physics, Math IIc and world history. I also took lots of APs in my high school, too.

My strength, as a candidate for transter, is that I have a very straightforward reason to transfer to some schools, although I said "prestigious" above. My future goal is quite related with a certain field of mathematics which washu does not provide me with. And I am mainly targeting for U of Chicago, Penn, Dartmouth, and Brown.

I know my gpa is relatively low as a candidate to those schools but I am really really eager to transfer to those schools. Is it worth a shot to apply them? Or do you recommend me to increase my gpa and apply them in the next year? I seriously need your helps! :)

If your high school record is Ivy-worthy, you must be a competitive candidate. 3.75 in a first semester at WashU taking Calc III is actually pretty good.

do it! consider that not ALL transfers get to take calculus III! although your gpa is not 4.00 and considering how hard your classes are, it is totally worth a shot!
