Would it be worth it to get an "Accounting Certificate", which is 18 hours of Accounting courses at a Community College, if I am also currently pursuing a BSBA at a 4-year University? I am really undecided in what I want to do for a living, so that is why I chose Business Admin. as my major. I also considered majoring in Accounting, but I wanted to keep my options open, so that is why I am majoring in Business. Would obtaining the "Accounting Certificate" at the Community College make me more qualified for more positions and maybe allow me to earn more than if I just had a BSBA by itself or would it make me a more competitive candidate for some jobs? Or would getting the Certificate be a complete waste of time. If I wanted a job that involved "light accounting" like maybe an Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable Management position, would the BSBA by itself qualify me for that?
