Worth it to retake 760 in Math II?

I got a 760 Back in June for Math II, and I'm not sure whether I should just accept it or retake for the 800 again. I'm only applying to really 2 higher end schools (Duke, Northwestern)

No get it higher in another subject

What did you get on the other SAT-IIs?

So far just math II. I’m taking history for november and might take math I even though theres really no point in doing so

I got a 760 on math II my first time, too, and retook it to earn my 800. Don’t take math I; the curve is so harsh that it’s pretty hard to do better on it than on math II. And really, 700s on both math I and II isn’t better than a retaken math II score. I score I think you should retake it if you want to and if you know you can get the 800; after all, it’s just another hour tacked onto your next subject test’s exam date.

I don’t think there’s any big need to retake the test unless you really want to. Your score of 760 is pretty good for the colleges you mentioned. Since you’re also taking another subject, why not out in your energy to get an 800 in that subject test. Just my two cents…

Good Luck!

It’s not worth it. 760 is still a really good score and an 800 is more of an icing on the cake IMO. If you really want to impress the colleges, why not take a test of a different subject and get a high score on that?

Thanks for the replies so far

As for taking a third subject test, which is easier : chemist or physics, I’m a hs senior who never took an ap science last year. I’m in ap physics this year and thats about it
