I took the ACT in December and got a 24 which is good because it's a state college and the average is 20-24. But I took in again in February and I wasn't feeling good. I thought I got rid of it to not be sent to that school but I guess it didn't go through and now I can't cancel it. Will they reject me for a lower report. I couldn't concentrate on the reading section and only got to answer the first 20. I know I did okay in the other sections though but cause of the reading I think I got lower than a 20. You think a college like GSU will throw my application away for that?

No, they will probably judge you just on your highest score. But, if you could really only answer just the first twenty questions you should reevaluate your life.

What do you reevaulate? I’m bad at pacing. The first time I took it and got a 24. I was on question 20 when they called 5 minutes and answered the last 5 questions on the passage and only finished the first 25. I guessed on the last 15 and got a 20 which means the ones I answered where right.

Highreach, quit making CC look like a bunch of elitist jerks.

I think you should be fine, your 24 is a fairly good score(people on here will act as if it is awful because most have 30+) and you actually are ahead of 3/4ths of the people who took the test. Most schools just look at your highest score.

Thanks, I know he probably got a 24 his first time and studied his butt off to get a 30+. I didn’t study and I got the score necessary for my college. This forum makes even a 30 look bad. Where else would you remake a 32 except her.
