Would a lack of volunteer hours prevent me from getting into an Ivy

<p>A rising junior, I realize that I have practically no volunteer hours (10-15 at most)! By the time I apply, I would have around 100, but would my lack of community service be a Fatal Error on an application to an Ivy League?</p>

<p>P.S. I'd prefer not to mention it on an application, but I've been babysitting for 300+ hour per summer since freshman year.</p>

<p>Well baby sitting could be considered a community service activity. But I would definitely make sure you start doing some Community service/activities that speak to who you are and what you want to be. Thus unless babysitting is a passion of yours for some reason. Or has really allowed you to express who you are then I would find more to do. =D But don’t exclude it from your app.</p>
