I have been accepted to St. Andrews (unconditionally). Would they revoke that offer on the basis of grades if they drop somewhat significantly by the end of the year?

I’m not sure, but I think out of all the UK universities St Andrews would be the most likely to revoke your offer due to bad grades, since they’re one of the only UK universities that actually want to see your transcripts. I don’t think they would though, unless maybe you failed or earned "D"s in several classes. I’ve been accepted to University of Edinburgh (conditionally) and Durham (also conditionially), and only Durham’s offer mentioned my GPA.

An unconditional offer means you have already satisfied the entry requirements. The answer to your question is no, universities cant rescind unconditional offers or not give you a place if you meet your conditional offer.

I would check this article out. Itll probably give you a more concrete answer from a reputable source [Times Higher Education - The process of getting into university](http://www.timeshighereducation.co.uk/story.asp?storyCode=147543§ioncode=26)
