<p>Hello! I'm new to the CC community.
I wrote an essay for the National Merit scholarship, and I would like to get opinions on it. I didn't really give it as much effort as I could have so I am afraid that it is rather... not so good :(

<p>(Also, I did not see the instruction about sending SAT scores until the 12th of October, so I had it rush-ordered. They said it would take up to two business days to get the scores to NMSC, and the NMSC site says the application is due on October 15th, so do you think I'd be okay? I apologize for getting off-topic ><)</p>
