I'm a junior right now and i'll be in Novice rowing. I'm going to be in varsity during my senior year. Anyone thinks that colleges will be interested if i start sport this late? please rate your opinion on this from 1-10 as 10 being very interested and 1 as this won't do anything. Thanks!!

I don't know whether or not colleges will put much faith in it this late in the career.. some might just because it is still a demonstrated dedicaton to a team.. idk, but is that the only reason you would do rowing? Cause if so than it's probly not worth the time and effort for the little boost it might give this late in the game. On the other hand, if you really want to and think you might enjoy it, by all means go for it and hope for the best! Any Varsity sport may help a bit.

I do like the sport. I've rowed a little before and it's fun. But i also really want it to still count a lot.

doing things just to make the college app look good is exactly the opposite of what colleges intend for applicants

Anyone? Please? Help?

Makkouri is right. If you want to pursue the activity, then do so. It may or may not impress colleges.

If it's fun, that's all that matters. Don't base your life on what the college board might think of you. Just be yourself, they'll like that.
