I am considering Rutgers for Biomedical Engineering/Pre-med, I was wondering if going to Rutgers (while most likely having a good gpa and good mcat scores), would hinder my chances of getting into a good medical school vs. going to an ivy? Going to Rutgers because it is much cheaper, possibly able to get a Full Ride

Absolutely! Going to Rutgers will completely decimate any chance you have of going to medical school. EVER!

Furthermore, taking ANY class outside of the Bio, Chem & Physics depts other than a limit of ONE English class and TWO math classes will heavily harm your chances.

Finally, make sure you don’t make any friends in college or do anything besides study ALL the time, because doing anything else will keep you from getting ALL As (i.e., a 4.0), which is the bare minimum necessary to get an interview and be seriously considered for any US medical school (MD OR DO).
