Would Having A Personality Disorder Do Any Harm To My HS/College Experience?

I have a cousin who has the Histrionic personality disorder. She really wants to go to college and have a good time in high school, academically, socially, and athletically. However, she has heard that people who have personality disorders usually drop out of high school.

I’ve never heard such a thing that a personality disorder leads to dropping out. A personality disorder affects relationships and coping skills, but it shouldn’t have any effect on the ability to study and complete school. With effective treatment (and your cousin has to be invested in treatment for it to work), there is no reason she shouldn’t have a successful academic experience.
