Would I Be Able To Get A Fee Waiver?

I'm a homeschooled student and also international; I don't think I'll be able to apply to the nine or so colleges on my list without requesting fee waivers from some of them. However, I'm not sure if I'll be able to apply for one or not, given that I have no counselor.

Is there any way around this? I'm applying online, btw.

Also, do fee waivers decrease one's chances of admission?

It would not be the waiver that decreases your chances, at most schools it will be needing a lot of aid that hurts your chances.

Email the colleges and explain your situation. Most will probably grant the waiver if you are low income.

I’ll email them ASAP. Thanks for your help ^^.

I thought pretty much all the ivy schools are need-blind, so why would applying FA affect your chances?

I believe your homeschool administrator (parents most likely) can sign the fee waiver.

CollegeBoard instructs you to go to your nearest brick and mortar high school and get one from there. However, the point is moot because CollegeBoard only grants its fee waivers to citizens.

All of the Ivies are need blind to US Citizens and Permanent Residents. The only ones that are need blind to international students are HYP and Dartmouth.
