I am currently in my third year of undergrad majoring in Animation and Illustration. I have currently done 4 internships and volunteered for a hospital’s healing arts program as an arts ambassador for 8 months. I am also an instructor for a studio that aims to educate both adults and children in different art forms, including video and computer animation. It was tough to handle so many different outside experiences from school which eventually lead me to hold a 3.5 GPA overall and a 3.3 GPA towards my major. I plan on only focusing on school my last year and aim to have at least a 3.8 for both last 2 semesters. This would leave me at about a 3.6 GPA towards my major upon graduation. If I have a competitive portfolio, at least a 3.6 GPA towards my major, and my internships/experience to back me up, would I be able to make it to a highly competitive design school? During my studies, I’ve grown a high interest in industrial design and hope to study in this field during my Grad. Also, any additional advice to enhance my resume and experience is welcomes! Thanks.
