Where do you live now? If you live outside the US you will be most often "read" by the international admissions person regardless of your citizenship status. Some schools have limits on the number of students they accept who are not US citizens, but if you are a US citizen but live overseas, this does not apply to you.

What is your passport/visa status? This will determine your status with regards to financial aid. Some schools use financial need as a consideration for "international students" even if they are "need blind" for US citizens. This varies school to school.

Affirmative action is pertinent to citizens of the U.S. who are members of a minority group which is underrepresented in the college setting.

All the schools you mention have admissions people who work with international students and information on their websites. YOu have plenty of time to research!

i live in columbus ohio..and currently applying for citzenship..and i have a H-1 visa..

I think you will be considered American-African, which also falls into the affirmative action.

You would be considered an international until you get your green card/permanent residence regardless of your ethnicity. Maybe you'll get your green card before your senior year? I know how sucky it is to be an international applying from US. Good luck!

Sucky is right. I'm a senior with a H-4 and I won't get my green card for a while ...
