Okay, so I was in Waterloo's accounting program for a year, but had certain doubts about myself being in the program and am currently taking a year off to see what my options are.

I went to a pretty reputable public high school in a relatively small city near Toronto, and had an average of about 94%. I can also bring this up by a bit if I take (or retake) some high school courses during my time off. In my opinion I have excellent EC (400 hrs, and that's just what was counted) with lots of leadership and work experience, and I can definitely add to this as well during my time off.

No AP, and no SAT experience. Please allow me to tell you that going to a reputable American college has been a dream for a while but I never had the courage to actually come out and say it, so I am new to all specific details about the actual how-to's of getting into American colleges. But now that I have totally pi**ed off my parents by taking a year off (they are Asian), I really don't want to care about anything else and just go to the school that I want to go to and take the program that I want to take.

But I already did a year in Waterloo, and my average was only about 80% (maybe a bit lower, didn't exactly look at it) due to personal reasons, but if I hadn't those issues and tried a bit harder, I believe I have the brains to have gotten 90s. Furthermore, I do not want to transfer - whereever I go, I want to start off fresh and new as a first year student.

So here are my questions:
1. What are my chances of getting into an Ivy League college's business/psychology/criminology/or even a science program? I would need financial support at its most because I am going independent on this one. I would also be applying to begin my studies in 2011 - I plan to work/study from now until then.
2. If I don't have any chance getting into those top US colleges, please recommend some Canadian universities that have reputable programs in the areas listed above. I am currently looking into U of T and McGill.
3. My dream is to practice internationally in the law industry or to become a diplomat. I really want to have a job that will allow me to travel the world and see new places and help people, if possible. If you have any recommendations as of undergraduate program, graduate program, languages to learn, experiences to have, please throw them at me.

Thank you in advance!
