Would it be a bad idea applying SCEA to Stanford?

<p>Would it be a bad idea to apply to Stanford early action with a 27 ACT? It's definitely my top school and I'm so disappointed with my score! Right now, I'm really considering applying regular. I just want you guys' input.</p>

<p>According to Stanford’s Common Data Set, [Stanford</a> University: Common Data Set 2010-2011](<a href=“http://ucomm.stanford.edu/cds/2010.html]Stanford”>http://ucomm.stanford.edu/cds/2010.html) , less than 16% of the entering class had an ACT below 30. I would guess that the majority of those with a 27 or less were recruited athletes, so unless you have a similar hook your chances are not good.</p>
