Ok, so I'm currently a sophomore in high school. I'm scheduling for my junior year and I'm really stuck... My ideal schedule for next year: IB English, Chemistry, Soc/Psych, AP Environmental, Honors Spanish 4, aCapella choir, Theatre 3, and Broadcast & Video 1. But, the thing is that I wouldn't be taking a math... So my question is: Would colleges care if I didn't have math my junior year? I've already taken Algebra 1 & 2, and geometry... So I already have 3 years of math under my belt, then I want to take AP stats as a senior. So by the time I graduate I will have 4 credits of math!

I want to be some type of teacher when I grow up, or major in psychology! The colleges I'm looking at are: Penn State, Purdue, NYU, OSU, Univ. of Kentucky, and Michigan State.

Please please please share your thoughts! Am I crazy to not take math, or will I be ok?

We’ve gone through this questions a few times in the past month- for kids who wanted to stop after pre-calc.
A few schools on your list will wonder why you stopped math in favor of those other electives. Some may not care. Stats, in general, does not replace pre-calc and calc.

Was Algebra 1 taken in high school or middle school? It won’t count as a year of math if taken in middle school, so you would only have 2 years of math so far.

You would have to look up what the schools you are interested in recommend and require for math. It is fairly typical to require 3 and recommend 4 years of math.
