<p>I am coming here to get some suggestions and hear some experiences from people who have done an international internship.</p>
<p>First, let me state that I am concentrating in the following areas:
Information Systems Management
International Business
German</p>
<p>I just got back from a 5 month study abroad trip in Germany, and it was the best experience of my life. I loved the trip and I am hoping one day to work abroad and possibly eventually live there.</p>
<p>For next summer I am interested in an internship in Europe, Germany being my major pick. I'd also consider Belgium, Netherlands, and Switzerland.</p>
<p>I would like to hear if anyone has had any experience with international internships, and I'm curious how it went, will I be likely to find ones that pay? when should I start to look for internships/should I contact the company myself to show interest? etc...</p>
<p>I still have 3 semesters of school left, and I am just finishing up an IT internship in 2 weeks.</p>
<p>I'm really hoping that with my areas of concentration, I would be able to nail an internship with a company such as Siemens, Bayer, etc.</p>
<p>So, does anyone have any experiences completing a internship abroad who can share their story with me? I'd really appreciate it.</p>
