So, I'm currently a sophomore in Aerospace and I'm from upstate NY. I'm kind of just realizing that aerospace isn't really popular in the Northeast. Can people in AE get jobs/internships not in aero fields? I'm not completely attached to my major either so the thought of changing to maybe mechanical crosses my mind. Basically if I stick with AE would I HAVE to move far away? Is switching to mechanical worth it at maybe the cost of a semester?

I also have interest in getting an MBA

There are certain other areas where aerospace engineers can be considered, but not very many, and that is one of the caveats about pursuing aerospace engineering. If you are really that opposed to moving out of the northeast (though I urge you to consider branching out), then switching over to mechanical may not be a bad choice. It is very similar to aerospace engineering.
