Would playing football help with getting in to MAC?

thanks in advance

It would depend on how good you are, but probably. I don't know how many openings they've got for next year, but our football team kind of sucks. Though I think we actually won 2 or 3 games this year. Not that I really paid attention.

Luce373: Thanks so much for your response. I'm not an all american or anything, but I will be a 2 year varsity starter on the offensive line.

My S just went through the DIII football "recruiting" process and Macalester was one of the colleges he applied to. Although the Macalester coaches made clear that the admissions decision came from the admissions office, they did support his application and ultimately, I believe the coaches recommendation helped with admissions. Although my son ended up at a different school, we were both favorably impressed with Coach Jennison, the football program and the academics at Macalester. If you are interested in Macalester I would recommend contacting Coach Jennison and scheduling a visit. For what its worth, Macalester would have been my first choice for both football and academics, but it came in a close second for my S.
