<p>I know for Cornell it helps in terms of financial aid (in fact, it isn't unheard of for Cornell to pay part of the tuition for a faculty/staff member's tuition expenses if the child goes to ANOTHER school), but not for admission.</p>
<p>Cornell's a great school, but not all of its undergraduate colleges are as selective as Yale.
I would imagine that if it didn't help there, it wouldn't help at Yale.</p>
<p>Then again, I'm not an admissions officer.</p>
