Can you not wait to get out or would you rather stick around for a few more years?

Far away, but honestly it doesn't bother me because I come from a military family and moving ever so often doesn't bother me.

I reallly want to go far away. I am growing up in San Francisco, and while California is great, I'm not really a California girl. I really love New York, Boston, DC...that whole lifestyle and I really want to experience another part of the country. I also want to go into politics, in some way, so I want to travel and I am very independent and want to live in a big city far away. I know I'm young now, but I really doubt I will change my mind. I try to convince my dad that its not that I want to get away from HERE, but its that I want to go THERE. If that makes sense...?

College should be a time to explore a new part of the country or even the world -- you just won't have the opportunity at any other time. Besides, living in a completely different environment will make you appreciate what you have back home.

I hate the California sunshine. Maybe a few winters in Montr

I wanted to go reasonably far away: out of state, out of region, but not too far. Taking planes to get home doesn't bother me, but for some reason I refused to even look at California for college. That was pretty much it.

buuuuump... quick survey! :)

Far away.. only child syndrome will keep me near home though DANG IT

You know, once you start polling on an internet message board, you've already lost enough accuracy that you're better off just making the stats up yourself.

It depends on the people around you.

I went to a school where that was the thing to do. It actually got annoying after a while.

I would prefer to live to a school that's far away from home, because...well, that's life.

not too close and not to far. :)

I'm going far, I'm from NH and I'm going to CA.

Probably far away.

far away......my parents can't possibly smell the pot frm 1000 miles away

far away...

I'm going to a college that's about 1.5 hours away from my house. It's the perfect location for me: far enough to have to move out, but close enough so I can go home more often than just for holidays.

Thanks for the input so far guys... jpps- Haha yeah.. Half of my report is gonna be about the bias that this kind of survey is subject to.

Far, far away. In fact, I might as well be an international student. I am attending school in New York, moving from my Hawaiian homeland. We'll see if I rethink my decision when faced with 11 hours of cramped airplane cabins.
