Would you rather have Money or Power?

Would you rather have Money or Power? assuming you'll be fine in terms of whichever one you don't choose, just you won't be rolling in it.

Explain

One would more than often come with the other than not. I would probably choose “power,” but depending on your definition of “power,” those with lots of money will often have lots of power.

Money buys power.

Money = the power to buy things.

Money=economic+social power

Yeah…money xan buy anything

You really can’t have one without the other lol.

Try telling that to Romney or countless other politicians…

Paris Hilton or Obama?
Paris Hilton is rolling in money, but only has limited power, and no political power.
Obama is debatably the most powerful man in the world, and while he’s rich, he’s not one of the richest people in the world.

I could bench press a 1000 lbs and be poor Descuff.

Likewise I could be a billionaire and not be able to lift up a 5 pound weight.

I want to be neither. They amount to naught compared to happiness.

I’d want to have power, but what kind of power?

I would rather have money. I could at least use that for charitable purposes.

Power. I guess you can argue some very influential people have been relatively poor and I’d rather be them than like Mitt Romney.

I guess it would depend on the sort of power. Political, and I’d take the money, but if it was the power to influence people to do good things (vague, I know), I’d easily take the power.

You could also use your power to influence others to donate/raise awareness.

The power to weave baskets underwater! :D

Hmm…good point.

@GoldenRatio:

“You could also use your power to influence others to donate/raise awareness.”

True, in that case I’d rather have power as long as I’m convinced that people (let’s say… fans) would listen to me. Thousands of people donating to causes due to my influence would raise much more money than me simply donating myself.

I’d prefer power over money.

that depends. if you choose power, what would you have power over? and if you choose money, what are the goods and services available for purchase?

I’d choose power. Superpowers, that is.

I saw a funny picture

It had the white house on it
And the caption read: “The only house Romney couldn’t buy”

(and could one of my powers be making money appear out of thin air)
