HI Daniel
I have sent my FAFSA but have not done the CSS PROFILE,
What shall i do now?

Will this effect my Fin aid?
Shall i fill out the Profile now?
Please guide me on this matter.

Please complete the Profile and, once you have done it, the IDOC cover sheet and tax forms. We will need all of this information to make an aid determination. Of course, since we are so close to decision mailing, you could also wait until you have your decision in hand first...

HELLO!
ok so just to make sure... we can submit PROFILE after receiving our decisions, right?

And another thing.... if we do have special financial circumstances that dont show up on the FAFSA or PROFILE, would it help to send a letter to the financial aid office?

Answer:

Again, we would like your information ASAP, so that we can get you an award ASAP. If we do not have your information soon, you will run the risk of not having an award before you have to make an admissions decision yourself (whether to attend or not). That said, we also realize the decisions are around the corner and it may make sense to wait at least until you know. BUT DON'T WAIT ANY LONGER THAN THAT...

As for Special Circumstances, feel free to write messages in the comment section of the Profile or send it with your 2004 income information to IDOC, or with your 2003 information to our office. We do read everything you submit before we make a decision.

To clarify, I am a US citizen living aboad.

Amrik: As you are a US Citizen, we cannot award aid to you until you complete your FAFSA (I assume the Profile is already done). You must have an SSN in order to do the FAFSA so you are in a bit of a "Catch-22" situation. My advice, follow up with the SSN process to make sure that it gets done rapidly. I would look at the SSA's website (www.ssa.gov) to see if there are any better ways to get your number faster.

Alright. It looks like I will be making an early trip to the US.

i am late but , hello moneyman :)

Hi neha! Thanks for the welcome!

this really deservers a bump
