wow...there's a Yale 2011 forum!

let the posting begin

whoa, it's so crazy that EA folks are gonna start posting on this board, in like exactly a week! eek!

Great to see there's a forum about Yale already!!

I applied to REA for Yale this year, will get notified on Dec 15.:)

For engineering is Yale better Upenn.

Umair, I believe UPenn has a higher ranking. Yale is not well-known for Engineering... its strongest programs are, as far as i know, English, History, Art, Drama and Psychology. More humanties based than many other top schools.

Cornell is a better engineering school. Penn is a business school.

Yale is definitely not known for their engineering program. Though this also means your classes will be smaller and you will have more interaction with professors. So it's definitely a personal decision after weighing which factors (including non-academic, e.g. social life, campus environment, etc.) are most important to you.

According to Science Watch, Yale ranked among the top ten of 100 federally-funded U.S. universities with the highest citation impact of their published research papers from 1997-2001 in 21 major fields of science and the social sciences. Yale Engineering had also ranked #1 in the 1996-2000 citation impact report. In the ISI survey covering 1993-97, Yale had ranked #8.

Is this gonna empty out in favor of the bulldog boards once they work properly?
