Does anyone have any tips for doing well in Writ 140/150?
What is the average workload per week?
Any specific profs that are great or ones to avoid? Thanks!

Follow their method of writing as close as you can, it will likely be graded that way.

Workload isn’t actually that much, its more about having a draft ready for conferencing/peer review/etc at a certain date despite the due date being a week later. You write about ~5 papers during the semester.

Instructors (<a href=“Classes Offered · USC Schedule of Classes”>Classes Offered · USC Schedule of Classes) aren’t listed until closer to the beginning of the semester. Hope for the best, if you don’t get a decent one, your grade may suffer.

I think workload differs from person to person. That said, always talk to your professor about your essay topic and ask for advice. That will definitely reduce the amount of headache of having to start from scratch if your professor doesn’t like your topic.
